More than just a beach bar…
Margate Beach Club is one of Margate’s newest lounge bar, cocktail bar and cabaret lounge. A short stroll from the main sands, with arguably one of the best sunset views in Margate. We are the ideal spot to relax, raise a glass, and soak up the golden-hour glow, or the place to express yourself on our dancefloor or in our cabaret lounge by night. You can also stay at the Beach Club Apartments which are cool sea facing spaces. We are a fully inclusive venue and safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Our team and vibe
The team behind Margate Beach Club are building a place that’s open to all, where good vibes come as standard and everyone is encouraged to be exactly who they are, and is a safe space for people from all communities. As an LGBTQIA+ safe space, and a space for everyone, our “club rules” will help you understand what we are about.
Our team is local, the owners have been in Margate for ten years, and we are keen to support local talent, local food and drinks producers, and other local businesses.
We are a Real Living Wage Employer and provide opportunities to people with a range of backgrounds and experience. We believe everybody deserves a chance and like to think that everyone has at least a little bit of fabulous in them!

We are a Safe inclusive space, no exceptions.
Our club is an LGBTQIA+ safe space and a fully inclusive venue for everyone. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any other form of hate is not welcome – end of.
Respect the beach club crew.
Our staff, artists, and security are here to keep you safe, make sure you have fun, and help to make your night unforgettable. Treat them with kindness and do as they ask or instruct.
Expect the unexpected.
Our shows are bold, creative, and sometimes outrageous (just like some of our customers!). If you’re easily shocked or offended, this probably isn’t the club for you.
Dress with intention.
No sliders or tracksuits. Our club isn’t the gym or corner shop – elevate your look and match our fabulous vibe.
Mind our neighbourhood.
Keep the noise down outside, smoke only in designated areas, no taxi pickups directly outside the venue after 11pm. We want to keep our neighbours happy and our doors open.
Respect our DJs and performers.
DJs curate experiences, not personal playlists. Don’t hassle them with endless requests – they are not Spotify! Be kind, be interested and respect our artists and performers, they are here for you.
Consent is sacred, respect is required.
Respect personal boundaries. Harassment in any form means instant removal from our club. Everyone deserves to feel safe in our club.
Look after each other.
If someone needs help or looks uncomfortable, check-in with them immediately, or alert our crew. We’re a community, not just a club.
Drink Smart, Stay Fabulous, No Drugs.
Have fun but don’t get messy – it’s not a good look! We’ll refuse service if you become a liability to yourself or others. Do not bring drugs into our club – we have a zero tolerance policy, and involving the Police is a certainty, not a threat.
